And it is they who will need information on how to choose an adhesive tape for a touchscreen (double-sided).

This consumable helps in repairing the smartphone display. With it, the screen is fixed inside the case, so a poor-quality product can lead to breakage. The same, however, applies to the skew-handed craftsmen, who urge not to use adhesive tape for such painstaking work. And in vain, because it is the most simple and reliable to use. The main thing is to choose the right product.

Types

Double-sided tape for a touchscreen can be with or without a base. To the last optioninclude adhesive transfer sheets, but working with them is quite difficult. It is universal and differs only in the width of the roll, and the footage is always the same (50 m). Of course, with such indicators, the owner of a smartphone in a lifetime will not be able to spend the volume, unless he starts repairing equipment for everyone.

A roll of this material costs 33-38 euros (~2000-2500 rubles as of December 2016), but the owners of "apple" equipment are no strangers to high prices. They use adhesive tape with the highest temperature resistance (270 degrees Celsius) to fix their machines.

However, it was not without difficulties. The technically possible minimum roll width is 7 mm, although half the tape is required for repairs. Therefore, in some cases, you have to cut the double-sided adhesive tape for the touchscreen manually.

1. Degrease surfaces to be fixed. For these purposes, it is better to use isopropyl liquid alcohol (not suitable from cylinders).
2. Let the pieces dry. It usually takes no more than 10-15 minutes.
3. Evenly apply adhesive tape to the display, it must fit snugly to the surface. Bubbles and oblique overlays should not be allowed, extreme accuracy and perfectionism are the most important things in this business.
4. After the fixing procedure is completed, you can use a building hair dryer - this will speed up bonding.

As a rule, beginners prefer branded 3 M tape (double-sided) for the touchscreen, but it is not necessary to choose it. In the end, no one will forbid experimenting.
