Often in a toy store you can hear the sighs of admiring customers who, when they see a luxurious doll house, exclaim with anguish: “I also dreamed of having the same one!” Today, such a dream can be bought in almost any children's store. But not everyone or not always can afford to part with a significant share of monthly earnings. And no problem. After all, you can build a doll house with your own hands. Believe me, a little princess will experience no less pleasure from a house for dolls made with her own hands.

It will not just be the most expensive gift for her, which no friend will have. She will get the maximum of positive emotions from the process itself.making crafts. In addition, trying to create a home for dolls will bring all family members together. It will be a long, but entertaining process with a bunch of creative ideas and incredible suggestions from every household. So let's get started.

Required material

Of course, the choice of base material depends on the desired end result. If you are planning to create a large doll house with many rooms on several floors, then give preference to plywood. However, this method is quite troublesome. In the case of building a house for small dolls, you can get by with an ordinary cardboard box. Doll houses can be made from styrofoam sheets. The foamy structure of this material lends itself easily to a clerical knife. The lightness of this design can be attributed to one of the advantages of using this material.

It is advisable to start "building" a house with a project. This business can be entrusted to the future owner of a luxurious palace. Then, based on real possibilities, we transfer the project to thick sheets of paper (you can use a wallpaper canvas). Prepared patterns are used for the manufacture of parts from the selected material. In addition, we will need glue, toothpicks and wall decoration material.

Building a house

The main details of the house are the walls and the base. The optimal depth for the structure is 30 cm. The width of the entire structure is 120 cm. Next, we mark the side (30x30 cm) and front walls. We cut out window openings on the details in advance.

First the walls at the junctionlubricate with glue. We pierce the glued seam with toothpicks for strength. Moreover, only half of the sharp fasteners go into the wall, the second part is immersed in a closing canvas. We assemble the entire structure step by step, following the given project. For convenience, all parts can be pre-numbered both in the picture and on the parts.

After the entire structure is assembled, it is necessary to strengthen the window openings. To do this, we cut out strips from the material used with a width corresponding to the thickness of the wall. We form a window block from them, gluing strips along the inner perimeter of the opening. Then we firmly insert the partition between the frames.

Last of all, let's start decorating the building. Taking into account the design parameters, the dimensions of the window openings, we cut out the “clothes” for the walls from the wallpaper. In order for the doll house to resemble a small fairy-tale kingdom, we decorate the windows and the end part of the walls with a molding that can be purchased at any hardware store. For wall decor, you can use a paper border. We cover the floor with pieces of linoleum. It remains to equip the doll house with furniture and other interior stuff - and the home for the dolls is ready.
