Some types of guitars are called hybrid (electro-acoustic guitars). They have a built-in piezo pickup and can be connected to an amplifier. In addition to the sensor, they have an integrated equalizer and tuner that allows you to tune the instrument. Ideal for live performances.

A semi-acoustic instrument can be called a hybrid of an electric guitar and an acoustic guitar. A fairly large soundboard should amplify the sound, but a smaller sound hole prevents this. The sound is well revealed when an amplifier is connected and a mediator is used. Such views are preferred by jazzmen.

A characteristic feature of twelve-string guitars is the arrangement of 2 strings (6 pairs). The tree for these guitars is chosen as strong as possible, since the “weak” tree simply cannot withstand the tension of 12 strings. That is why the "twelve-strings" are quite massive and heavy.
