Magnetic sheet is a material made from a special polymer mixture with the addition of magnetic powder, which occupies up to 70% of the volume of finished products. This is a fairly flexible material, the magnetism of which is determined by the amount of powder in it. The thickness of the sheet also depends on this.

Magnetic sheets do not contain toxic substances, therefore they are classified as eco-products. They do not corrode. The possibility that sheets can be easily machined has increased the use of this material. It is easily cut with a knife or scissors, stamped, drilled. Being a moisture resistant material, it easily withstands temperature changes, the range of which can vary from -30 to +70 degrees. Sheets have high strength and wear resistance, which allows this material to be used for a long time. If necessary, they can be easily deformed without losing properties.

Magneticsheets are available in various thicknesses: 0.4mm, 0.7mm, 0.9mm, 1.5mm.

Magnetic sheets with an adhesive layer

As mentioned above, this product uses an elastic material with a ferrite coating. The material remains magnetized only on one side. The second side has an adhesive coating, to which the printed sheet is usually attached. In simple terms, a magnetic sheet with an adhesive coating is a two-layer material, one layer of which is magnetic vinyl, and the second is an adhesive coating, the presence of which makes it easy to attach the necessary image printed on plain paper to the surface, only you first need to remove the film.

Scope of application

Magnetic sheets are widely used in various advertising campaigns. They are used in universities for visual placement of educational material at lectures for students.

Magnetic sheet photo albums

Their pages are sheets with a sticky coating, which is covered with a transparent film fixed on the outer edge of the sheet. Pictures are attached to the page with the help of a film, which, as it were, is attached to the sheet. It should be noted that the back of the photo is not glued, so the image remains intact.

To place pictures on a sheet, you need to unscrew the transparent film and lay out the photos in the desired form and order. When unfolding the pictures, it is necessary that there is a small free margin around the perimeter, otherwise the film will have nothing to stick to. After the desired photos are placed on the page, it is tightly covered with a film. This must be done in such a way that no air bubbles remain, no wrinkles appear. To avoid such formations, when gluing the film, it must be pulled a little with one hand, and gradually pressed against the sheet with the other from the rib. If the first time it was not possible to make an even pasting, the film must be separated and this process should be repeated again.

Despite the fact that manufacturers convince that photos under the film can be changed several times without changing the fixation quality, this is not recommended ifno urgent need. Consumer feedback indicates that the stickiness worsens with each use.

Disadvantages of magnetic albums

Album with magnetic sheets has some disadvantages:

• Removing images frequently will cause film stickiness to deteriorate;
• higher cost than regular albums;
• changing the shape of the film during long-term use, for example, when replacing a larger picture with a smaller one, traces of the previous photograph remain;
• adhesive coating changes color over time (appearance of yellowness).
