  5. Color is strictly regulated: black or brown.
  6. Modern military belts are black, fastened with a bi-metal two-pin buckle.
  7. Ceremonial pieces are made of yellow braid and equipped with a brass buckle.

Functions

The officer's belt as military equipment has a purely practical purpose:

  • holding pants;
  • used to attach a field bag, a holster with a weapon, a gas mask, a flask of water, other equipment;
  • used as a flail: during close combat, the free end is wound around the hand and, making certain movements, they try to hit the opponent with a buckle.

Officer's belts in our time are in demand in civilian life. They appealed to tourists, fishermen, hunters, lovers of outdoor activities. The belt can carry various items, including heavy ones.
