Lovely heart live pictures - cartoons! How much joy and warmth in them - they smell like childhood for all of us.
How animation was born
The history of live pictures is as old as the world: attempts to revive drawings date back to the 1st century BC. Chinese "shadow theatres" were already popular in the 2nd millennium AD
In the middle of the XV century. wandering actors with mechanized images entertained people in the squares, and in the 17th century a “magic lantern” was born that projected live pictures onto glass.
Many attempts to revive the images testified to the special interest of people in this art form at all times.
Finally, it was the turn of the 19th century rich in discoveries. After many years of improvements and attempts, in Paris on October 28, 1892, Emile Renault for the first time publicly demonstrated luminous pantomime, which delighted the public. The discovery of cinematic technology eclipsed the brilliance of the French invention, but many decades later, this particular day became a memorable date for animation for the whole planet.
In 2002100 years have passed since the first public demonstration of the forerunners of E. Renault's animation of their pantomimes, and French animators proposed to celebrate International Animation Day every year. Since then, on October 28, the entire planet has been paying tribute to the great art of animated films.
History of domestic animation
In the field of animation at the beginning of the 20th century, our compatriot Alexander Shiryaev, choreographer of the Mariinsky Theater, distinguished himself: in 1906 he became the creator of the world's first puppet cartoon. Now 12 moving puppets against the backdrop of motionless scenery might seem primitive - what is there to see? - however, at the time it was a definite breakthrough in animation.
Animated graphics began to develop in the USSR in the period 1924-1925 with the founding of the Kultkino studio. A decade later, in June 1936, the popular film studio Soyuzmultfilm was opened in Moscow. Today it is difficult to find a person who is not familiar with the products of this studio: "Winnie the Pooh and All, All, All", "A Kitten Named Woof", "The Littlest Gnome" and other cartoons loved since childhood.
70 years later, Soyuzmultfilm veterans decided to perpetuate domestic cartoon milestones and reveal some secrets of animation technology to cartoon fans. In 2006, the Museum of Animation was opened, which originally had the character of a traveling exhibition. Today it is located in the All-Russian Exhibition Center and includes more than 5,000 exhibits.
International Animation Day has been celebrated in Russia since 2007. The first celebration wasdedicated to the memory of Alexander Tatarsky - a talented animator, founder of the Pilot animation studio. Who is not familiar with the amusing and funny cartoons "Plasticine Crow", "Koloboks Are Investigating", "Last Year's Snow Was Falling"? Their author and director was A. Tatarsky.
In Moscow, the Great Cartoon Festival, which opened in 2014 for the eighth time, is timed to coincide with the global cartoon celebrations. A real animated show lasts for a whole dozen magical days, during which viewers can enjoy a wide variety of films from around the world.
The story of one boy
Most kids don't think about how animated films are made - it seems to them that cartoons have always existed. One boy became interested in how to get his favorite cartoon characters from TV.
Getting older, he received a wonderful toy movie camera as a gift: if you look at the screen and turn the knob, you can see the cartoon recorded in it! Of course, the camera was immediately dismantled, and the secret was revealed: inside the device was a miniature film with printed images. Since then, the curious boy has become interested in animation, turning the creation of cartoons into his life's work.
Favorite cartoons in children's educational institutions
Creating an animated film is not an easy task: it takes at least a hundred images to “force” a cartoon character to just raise his hands. ForAnimated picture in 10 minutes of such drawings need about 15,000!
International Day of Animation at Preschool is a good occasion to give children an idea of how cartoons are made. This is not only a fun activity for kids, but also a creative process that has a beneficial effect on the child's abilities.
The simplest version of the cartoon can be made with the child yourself: drawings are applied on each sheet of a thick album. For example, to depict a pop-up button, on the first page you need to draw it fully closed, on the last - fully open, and on the intermediate pages - the various stages of this process. When quickly scrolling through the painted album, the child will see a “animated picture” - this is the simplest cartoon. Experienced teachers in kindergartens and schools use a wide variety of technologies to create animated works:
- drawing;
- origami;
- application;
- plasticine.
Any material is suitable for a journey into the fascinating world of animation - you just need to add a little imagination!
