History of Appearance
In 1939, the Navy Day was approved for the first time. The date of the official holiday was 24 July. In 1980, it was decided by decree that the Russians would celebrate the solemn date on the last Sunday of July. Back in Soviet times, everyone considered it their duty to congratulate the sailors. They were given cards and gifts.
Today, on the day of the sailor, congratulations are heard from colleagues, relatives, friends and even from the president. Everyone remembers the glory of the navy, the courageous and brave warriors, despite the lack of ships and submarines.
Celebration
The Day of the Navy, the date of which is known to every Russian, is celebrated on a grand scale. Parades, concerts, sales, performances, competitions are held in the cities. The highest ranks give speeches, where they thank the soldiers for their numerous feats and for their service. Shops sell special souvenirs, and in the evenings, city residents enjoy fireworks. "Open days" are held on warships, each person can come in and give souvenirs to sailors. Worthy officers are promoted on the day of the Navy, this date is also associated with awards.
Russian Navy
The fleet began to form under Peter I in 1696, when the first decree on sea vessels was adopted. After 106 years, the Ministry of Naval Forces was organized, which existed until 1917. In the mid-30s of the twentieth century, air defense units, coastal defense, and naval aviation became part of the USSR fleet. Now part of the water divisions are:
- ships and boats - 200 units;
- cruisers - 6 units;
- destroyers – 8 units;
- anti-submarine ships - 10 units;
- submarines - 68 units.
Recently, additional modern ships and submarines with the latest weapons have appeared. It is planned to expand the composition of the ships until 2020, as well as introduce modern technical achievements. On the day of the Russian Navy, the date of which falls on the hot month of July, it is customary to take pictures with sailors. ATnewspapers and magazines appear photos of ships, submarines from exercises. The fleet today is submarine, surface forces, aviation of the marine corps, coast guard troops, special forces, rear units. Strategic objects:
- northern fleet;
- B altic fleet,
- Black Sea fleet;
- Pacific fleet;
- Caspian flotilla.
On the day of the Navy 2013, the date of which was July 28, awards of the composition, concerts, parades, meetings were held. Celebrations were especially solemn in the cities and bases where our flotilla is concentrated.
Sailors are the strength, the pride of our Motherland. Young men look up to them, and many teenagers dream of "blue vests". Celebrating the holiday, we support the fighters and show them attention and respect.
