Only a developed service sector is an indicator of a stable and prosperous economic situation, therefore Trade Day is a symbol of the financial well-being of society.

History of the holiday

Salesman is one of the oldest professions. Trade at all stages of the development of society was important: with the help of it, people satisfied their needs for services and goods. The decision to create a professional holiday was approved in the Soviet Union. The exact date was not determined: Trade Day was celebrated on the fourth Sunday of the second summer month. In 1988, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council, the solemn date was moved to the third Sunday of the first spring month, but many organizations and regional authorities continue to celebrate thisholiday in July.

Value of trading

Trade was, is and will be an important sector of the economy. Even in ancient times, in all corners of the world, they understood its whole essence: they sold goods that were in demand. The profession of a salesperson became popular and widespread after market relations appeared.

Initially important activities belonged to men, but over time women have taken the reins of power into their own hands. Today, in this area, you can often meet representatives of the weaker sex: sellers, managers. The profession is flourishing, and the heroes of the occasion usually accept congratulations at the workplace.

Recently, new forms of trade have appeared: network marketing, direct sales, distribution of products via the Internet and others. Representatives of such companies also celebrate the day of trade. The date is important for thousands of people, because both students and graduates of educational institutions, and mature, accomplished individuals work in the industry.

Trainings and seminars on active sales have become popular. There is always a shortage of sellers at the labor exchange. It began even after the collapse of the USSR, when individual entrepreneurship began to develop rapidly. Vendors work on a busy schedule, they have fewer days off, holidays, as it is on these days that people go shopping.

Approval of the "Trade Day" holiday, the date of which, although constantly changing, is celebrated invariablyevery year, only confirmed the enormous importance of the industry. Trade Day 2013 was July 28 old, March 17 new. Firms prefer to celebrate the holiday in the summer, go out into the countryside, arrange competitions, concerts, and competitions for employees. It was the same this year. And thousands of salespeople worked that day, received postcards and sweets at the workplace.
