The wedding ceremony is the most beautiful ceremony that exists among any peoples of the world. The process includes a wide variety of traditions and customs. But one of the main points is the blessing of the young. No wedding celebration is complete without it. Therefore, we will consider this particular custom in more detail.

The young are blessed by the parents of both the bride and the groom. In the old days, it was not allowed to get married if the future spouses did not go through the rite of the so-called purification of the soul. In the modern world, of course, everything is much simpler. Young people will no longer feel guilty for what they have done to their parents if the blessing has not yet been received. Despite the fact that the custom is more formal, the newlyweds still try to get the blessing of their parents. Then the atmosphere at the holiday becomes more pleasant, and the young spouses feel more confident, bolder move on in life.

In other words, if the bride and groom do not want to take this issue too seriously, then the procedure can be greatly simplified. The blessing of the young people first takes place in the bride's house, and then, after the registry office, in the groom's house.

At the first ceremony, the future spouses are placed on a towel, and the young must kneel, then the bride's parents make the necessary speech and cross the young with icons. The blessing of the young by the groom's parents goes as follows: the spouses are placed on the so-called "carpet of well-being", mother and father say parting words.

But the modern ceremony can take place without icons, "carpet" and handbrake. It is enough for the parents of the bride and groom to say kind and warm parting words for their children. If this option suits the young and they will continue to feel confident in themselves, then the ceremony is quite appropriate.

After the blessing of the young is received, all those participating in the wedding ceremony continue the banquet, say their words of congratulations to the couple, have fun and dance. But the rite includes another small custom: the parents of the bride and groom must hand over their homeyoung. This happens as follows: mothers must light candles that sweep through the entire hall, giving rise to new lights there. The last candles are lit on the table of the bride and groom. Or parents on both sides light one candle, from which they transfer the fire to a candle in the hands of the young.
