One of the most interesting professional holidays, which not everyone knows about, is the day of workers in agriculture and processing industry. Its date is floating. Because it's time for all of us to realize that the basis of our life is not oil, developed services and beautiful shops. The foundation of the normal functioning of society is high-quality food.
Once upon a time, many centuries ago, the development of animal husbandry and crop production, as well as the processing of various raw materials, gave mankind the opportunity and at the same time the motivation to embark on the path of civilization development. And that is why this holiday is so important. After all, the establishment of a special date, emphasizing the importance of these sectors of the economy, should have become a sign that symbolizes not only the restoration of the country, but also the development of a full-fledged economy. Unfortunately, for a long time we did not realize this. Until the crisis exposed the realities of life.
Hard reality
Agriculture and processing are the two most important areas for the economy of any country. After all, it is these enterprises that provide us with the most necessary - food, clothing, raw materials for a huge number of goods. When there were festivities in the village on the day of workers of agriculture and processing industry in 2013, the President of the Russian Federation emphasized the importance of these industries. He recalled their difficult history. What is worth at least serfdom, which was abolished only in 1861, or collectivization, whichpractically destroyed the Russian village under the Soviet Union? Today, finally, an understanding has come: it is necessary to develop the village. And not just to pump out oil, but to process raw materials ourselves. Unfortunately, not much is being done in this direction. As before, our farms are not so much living as surviving. And we buy most of the goods abroad.

You will not see any loud fireworks or beautiful reports on central television. Maybe it's for the best. After all, this holiday was created specifically for the people themselves, as a tribute to their hard, but necessary work. Extra speech is useless here.

Yes, the day of workers in agriculture and processing industry is known and not as widely known as it should be. And the situation in these industries is not easy. And that is why I would like not only to congratulate those people who create the products we need so much, but also to say “thank you” to them. They do not give up, do not go to work in easier areas of activity, but continue to fight, coping with bad weather, bureaucracy, and the crisis. Every autumn we hear how officials report to us that the harvest is good. Like, there is a growth in industry, our grain is exported, as once upon a time, when we fed the whole of Europe. So let's remember, on the day of workers in agriculture and the processing industry, not about beautiful numbers, but about how hard they are given. And let's say thanks to these people!
