Laminated cardboard is a type of material coated with a special smooth layer that enhances its quality.

Lamination is the process of applying the thinnest layer of film that makes cardboard water-repellent and protective, increasing its shelf life, and improving its appearance.

Lamination of the material happens:

• Hot - during processing, at a certain temperature, the adhesive layer is activated.
• Cold - the layers are pressed tightly against each other.

Production

Laminated cardboard is made from recycled materials (waste paper or cellulose). Layers of paper are tightly pressed together, then a layer of polyethylene is applied. Laminated cardboard is available in sheets or rolls.
