Matte film for cars has appeared relatively recently. Gradually, it is gaining popularity due to its excellent protective properties and performance characteristics. It will allow car enthusiasts who needed to repaint their vehicle, hide paint defects, update the appearance, protect it from possible chips and scratches, and find an almost perfect solution.

What is a matte car wrap?

This material is a vinyl film with a matte finish. This is a practical, reliable and technological solution. The abundance of colors allows you to give the car a unique and desirable look. The thickness of the coating allows you to protect the bumper, hood, roof, as well as other parts of the car.

The bottom layer is adhesive, having the structure of permanent acrylic, on which there are special notches (air channels) that facilitate the process of applying the film oncar.

After the matte film is pasted on the car, the owner of the vehicle will receive a rich, even color, as well as protection from:

How much does matte car wrap cost?

The price per linear meter of a decorative protective coating depends on the manufacturer and on the structure, but on average it is about 600 rubles for a regular color film and 1200 rubles for a diamond grit. The width of the film is slightly different for different manufacturers, but is in the range of 1.5 meters, so the calculation of the required quantity and, accordingly, the price can be easily performed. The cost of a set of a simple matte film and its sticker in companies involved in its sale and installation is about 45,000 rubles for a passenger car and 60,000 rubles for an SUV.

How to stick it yourself?

You can not resort to the services of companies that perform car pasting with a decorative coating, as this procedure can be performed independently. But it should be immediately foreseen that this is a time-consuming business. In addition, it is advisable to invite an assistant.

1. First, you should thoroughly wash the car, so that it practically shines.
2. The place where the matte film will be glued must be degreased. For these purposes, "White spirit" is suitable.
3. Now you should attach the filmto this place and mark it. This step is best done with an assistant. One applies and holds, while the other draws.
4. Cut out the blank.
5. Next, the part of the car body on which the film will be applied must be thoroughly moistened with soapy water. This can be done with a sprayer or sponge. The soap solution should cover the entire area to be glued.



6. Carefully remove the paper backing so that the film does not stick to itself and just as carefully attach it to the car body. With a rubber squeegee, roll it evenly from the center to the edges, drying it with a building hair dryer.
7. When all the film is rolled, dry it with a hair dryer and leave it in this state for 15 minutes.
8. To finish, go over the film with a felt squeegee to remove soapy residue and bubbles. If some bubbles have not disappeared, then you can remove them by warming up with a hairdryer or puncturing with a needle and rolling this area again with a squeegee. Very small bubbles will disappear on their own after the final drying within one to two weeks.
