Origin and description of the breed

Chinchilla cat is a long-haired and rather large animal. The weight of an adult cat is about 5-7 kg, and cats - 4. An unusual color is considered the hallmark of the breed. The undercoat is solid white, but the upper part of the axial hair has a contrasting shade. The color was called shaded if the axial hair is black for 1/8 of the total length. If black is present only on 1/3 of the hair, then we have a shaded chinchilla. By the way, there is a bezel of exactly the same color around the nose, tassels on the ears, stomach, eyes and chin of the animal. The eyes of the representatives of the Chinchilla breed are green, sometimes have a bluish-green tint.

Kittens

At a young age, a chinchilla cat looks different from an adult. On the coat of kittens there is a marble pattern, it is most pronounced on the tail. These are the striped markings characteristic of tabbies. There is no need to worry about this, as they completely disappear after 6 weeks.

Growing up, babies gain weight, and their coat becomes longer and thicker. A solid collar is formed around the neck from the folds of skin and fur. With age, kittens begin to look more attractive.
