How it all began

The first international flower festival, which combined exhibitions and competitions on the theme of live author's flower and garden compositions, was held in Moscow from 3 to 8 July 2012. It was created as an analogue of the Chelsea Flower Show - the annual flower festival in Chelsea, England. The event brought together more than 50 landscape designers and florists from different countries, and its program was full of various events. The jury members were eminent and titled foreign experts in the field of landscape architecture. Moscow Flower Show is a truly unique event, not only for the capital, but for Russia as a whole. The main goal of the festival is to become a kind of example of urban gardening and landscape design, which other cities of Russia will be able to apply on their streets. That first Flower Show was highly appreciated by the guests of honor, who noted the business acumen, talent and charm of the Moscow organizers. He adequately holds a high bar and meets world standards.

One of the landmark events at the Moscow Flower Festival 2017 was the presentation of a new rose variety called "Moscow". A delicate pink flower with velvet petals was bred specifically for the anniversary of Moscow as part of an environmental program. The hybrid peony rosette is ready for the difficult Russian climatic conditions and already in July it began to be planted in flower beds.
