Living conditions today contribute to the fact that most parents have to spend a significant part of their time at work. As a result, the moral and spiritual education of schoolchildren in the family fades into the background. It is a pity that little attention was paid to him in schools.

Teachers and parents should strive not only to give children theoretical knowledge, but also to develop in them kindness, humanity, love for nature and respect for others. The moral and spiritual education of schoolchildren should come first. But increasingly, videos pop up on the net, the main characters of which are children and their cruel treatment of peers or animals. It is hard to believe that they are born like this. Children become cruel later, and the entire responsibility for the moral and spiritual education of schoolchildren should lie on the shoulders of adults, many of whom are currently neglecting their duty.

It is worth noting that many schools use a program of spiritual and moral education of schoolchildren specially developed in these institutions. But, unfortunately, in most casesthese are only large lyceums and educational institutions for we althy families. In such cases, parents shift their responsibilities to teachers, forgetting that they must also contribute to this process.

The implementation of such programs within the walls of ordinary schools entails additional costs: the allocation of school hours, teacher fees, etc. This is not always possible, for example, in rural schools, whose budget is very limited.

The moral and spiritual development of schoolchildren sets the following goals and objectives:

- the formation in the child of the ability and need for moral development;

- strengthening morality and morality;

- patriotic education (junior and high school students);

- education of tolerance and respect for others.

In the context of the constant development of the country's economy, the upbringing of patriotism and pride in the Fatherland plays an important role. Against this background, the moral and spiritual education of schoolchildren often fades into the background. This situation arose as a result of the fact that the state is primarily interested in educating a generation that is aware of the political life of the country.

Great attention is paid to the education of a citizen who loves his country and is a patriot. Therefore, the program of patriotic education pursues the goal of developing citizenship among young people as the most important spiritual and moral value.

Moral and patriotic development should come first in the upbringing of a student. This is due to the fact that society needs a new type of personality, which inextricably links its fate with the future of the Fatherland. This is the goal of teachers and parents: to instill patriotism and citizenship in the child. Let's not forget that children are our future.
