In the life of every family in which a little princess grows up, there comes a moment when the daughter gets acquainted with perfume. She really wants to smell delicious, like her mother. If you care about hypoallergenic products for children, prepare perfumes with your princess personally for her. This activity will bring a lot of positive emotions to you and your child.
Features of children's perfume
Perfume for children should be hypoallergenic, free of dyes, have a slight unobtrusive smell, water-based (preferably) or dry. If desired, you can add sparkles of various shapes and sizes to the perfume.
Types of baby perfume
For a little princess, you can make three types of perfume:
- For a spray bottle. Water based, no fillers.
- For roll-on bottle. This perfume for children can already be made either oil-based or with the addition of essential oils, as this type of perfume will be applied to the skin pointwise, which eliminates the formation of stains on clothes.
- Dry perfume. This type is also for spot application, the basis of thisperfume - paraffin (wax) with the addition of essential oils. You can add glitter to this perfume - at the discretion of a little fashionista.
Where to start making?
Perfume for children cannot be made without the main perfumer - your child. Invite the little fashionista to choose: what kind of perfume she prefers. Based on the choice, prepare the desktop. You will need:
- distilled water;
- wax;
- olive oil;
- non-metallic mixing container (preferably transparent);
- pipettes;
- strips of paper (you can use stationery stickers of different colors);
- a jar of coffee in order not to lose sensitivity to smells;
- glitters of different colors and shapes (optional);
- essential oils with light, non-aggressive odors (it is advisable to make perfumes for children in one-component);
- dishes in which the finished perfume will be stored.
All this arsenal can be folded into a handy box, called "Perfume Set for Kids" and stored until the next inspiration.
The manufacturing process is very simple
How to make perfume for children at home? Nothing complicated - put all the ingredients on the table, call your princess and start "conjure". To begin with, offer to choose the smell of the future perfume: drop essential oils one by one onto the sticker with a pipette until you find a scent that your little perfumer will like.
Then choose the kind of perfume. To wax youyou will need to melt the wax in a water bath in the right amount. It is better to start with a small amount - ten milliliters will be enough. For this volume you will need 3-5 drops of essential oil. Drop the oil into the melted wax, mix well (preferably with a wooden stick - perfect for sushi), add glitter (optional) and pour into a storage container. After hardening, tightly close the lid - and in the refrigerator for the night. In the morning, you can enjoy the beauty and fragrance of the little princess perfume.
If you chose a water-based perfume - it's even easier. For a standard 150 ml spray bottle, you will need 15 drops of your favorite essential oil for a delicate fragrance, you can add more if you wish. It is worth remembering that water-based perfumes quickly disappear. Pour the mixture into a bottle, shake well and put in the refrigerator until morning.
To make an oil perfume, we take olive oil as a basis, add essential oil (in the ratio, as in the case of dry ones: 3-5 drops per 10 milliliters of the base). Mix well and put away in a cold place.
This is an experiment your princess will love, it will help develop her sense of taste and make her feel more mature. Forward to experiments!
