We all know that for the comprehensive development of the child, it is necessary to apply exercises both for the development of intelligence and mental processes, and physical exercises. One of the most common techniques for the physical development of children is exercises with a hoop.
A bit of history
Before you start doing hoop exercises for children, kids need to be interested. For example, you can tell the story of the creation of a hoop. This sports equipment was invented in America, Arthur Melin invented it. Later in Bulgaria, the hoop was often used in circus art. Then the circus performers began to try to twist several hoops on their bodies at once. Further, children can be offered to play such circus performers and try to perform simple sets of exercises with a hoop with them.
Benefits of hoop exercise
For growing children, using this kind of exercise will help them strengthen the core muscles of the arms, legs, back and shoulders. The hoop can also be used formuscle stretching in children, however, this must be done with extreme caution so as not to harm the child.
In addition, hoop exercises for children help develop flexibility, strength and good coordination of movements, and if you perform these exercises with cheerful music, you will also have a sense of rhythm and good mood.
Contraindications
There are no age restrictions for hoop classes. However, it is still better to perform exercises with a hoop for preschool children. It is at this age that the physical development of children requires increased attention, and the exercise will be much better and better.
However, there are certain contraindications for practicing with a hoop. For example, if your child has any diseases of the internal organs, in particular the intestines and kidneys, then you cannot practice with a hoop. In addition, it is not recommended to perform this type of exercise for those children who have disorders in the spine. With such children, exercises are performed under the strict supervision of specialists, for example, at exercise therapy.
Contraindications also include skin diseases, because during the use of the hoop, you can damage the skin even more. However, after a full recovery, children are allowed to perform exercises with a hoop.
Rules for practicing with a hoop
To perform exercises with a hoop for children, products made of plastic are used. They are lighter and do not injure the child's body in the way that it can.make a metal or aluminum hoop.
The hoop should be 55-65 cm in diameter, and the cross-section of the rim should be 1.5-2 cm.
Before starting the exercises, the muscles must be warmed up by doing simple warm-up exercises.
Given that children quickly get bored with the same activity, it is necessary to alternate, for example, exercises with a hoop and exercises with a ball or a stick.
Morning exercises
General developmental exercises with a hoop are well suited for morning exercises with a child. This will help the baby wake up, warm up the muscles before the upcoming physical activity during the day and recharge with a good mood. Morning exercises with a hoop can be done both in kindergarten and at home individually with your child if you have the necessary equipment.
- We take the hoop at opposite ends, stand up straight, heels together, socks apart. We do slopes. Down - exhale, put the hoop on the floor, without releasing it from your hands. Raise the hoop up - take a breath. Repeat 6-8 times at a slow pace.
- We hold the hoop in the same way, we put our feet shoulder-width apart. We press the hoop to the chest, then, making a turn to the left, straighten our arms, exhale. Again we press the hoop to the chest, take a breath. We repeat the same on the right side. Repeat 6-8 times at a slow pace.
- Keep the hoop on outstretched arms in front of you. Bending down, we step into it, first with one foot, then with the other. Once inside, lift the hoop up and remove itfrom yourself. We repeat the same. Breathing is arbitrary. Repeat 6-8 times at a slow pace.
- Put the hoop on the floor and sit down in it, cross-legged. We take the hoop with both hands and raise it above ourselves, inhale, lower it - exhale. Repeat 6-8 times at a slow pace.
- Place the hoop on the floor and perform inward and outward jumps. In this case, you can accompany the jumps with claps. The pace and breathing are arbitrary. After doing the exercise, you need to walk around and restore your breathing.
