The medicine has a wide spectrum of action: it is used both for prevention and for getting rid of worms, round and tape. "Prazitel" for dogs is highly effective, which is confirmed by both veterinarians and owners of four-legged animals. Three active components of the drug allow you to effectively deal with parasites. Each of the components affects the worms in its own way and therefore does not give them a single chance for survival. The tool is very popular in veterinary medicine, it is safe for animals and humans, but before using it, you must carefully read the instructions.
Release form, composition
"Prazitel" for dogs is available in several forms - tablets and suspension. This allows the owner to choose the most convenient drug for use, as well as calculate the correct dosage based on the weight of the animal.
Suspension for dogs "Prazitel" is more in demand, because it is very convenient to give it to an animal. The kit, in addition to detailed instructions, also contains a syringe dispenser, which allows you to easily measure the desired dosage for the animal. Consider the suspension and tablets in more detail below.
Three active components have a detrimental effect on parasites:
- fenbendazole;
- praziquantel;
- pirantela pamoat.
The product also contains excipients and water.
The maximum concentration of the main substances in the body is reached already at the 2nd hour after application. The drug begins to actively block impulses to the nervous tissue of parasites, destroy their cell membrane. Due to this, the body of the worms is first paralyzed, which later leads to their death.
Suspension
Even the suspension is produced by the manufacturer in two variations, which differ in purpose, as they have different compositions. This allows the drug to be used more productively for animals with different body weights.
For puppies created the safest drug, it does not contain fenbendazole. A milliliter of the drug contains 30 mg of pyrantel pamoate and 3 mg of praziquantel. For dogs of large breeds, the concentration of substances is higher, for example, it contains pyrantel pamoate already 140 mg, praziquantel - 50 mg + 100 mgfenbendazole.
Dogs easily take the drug, as it contains not only active substances, but also auxiliary substances that slightly improve the taste. "Prazitel" for small and large dogs differs in dosage, and in order to measure the rate more accurately, the manufacturer has equipped the product with a dispenser.
Prazitel tablets for dogs
Just like the suspension, this variation of the drug is available in two forms:
- "Prazitel plus". This medicine can be used in four-legged animals of various body weights and ages (not earlier than two weeks old). One tablet of the drug contains the same concentration of active ingredients as the suspension for adults - the maximum amount. As for auxiliary substances, these are starch, milk sugar, gelatin.
- "Prazitel" for puppies and cats. This type of tablet is endowed with a more gentle composition, so it is most often recommended to be used for babies. There is no fenbendazole, and the rest of the active substances are the same as in the suspension for puppies. Auxiliary components are the same as in the tablets of the previous type.
One box of tablets contains from 2 to 10 pieces. This packaging allows you not to overpay for the excess, which then just goes into the bin. In addition to the tablets, the box contains detailed instructions.

- Fenbendazole, which is not included in preparations for babies and cats, is endowed with the ability to act not only on adult parasites, but also on their offspring in the form of eggs and larvae. This component destroys the cellular tubules of the intestines of helminths, and they cease to exist.
