Surely many have heard at least something about such a thing as "sensorics". What it is, however, not everyone can explain. Even fewer are those who are fully aware of the huge role that it plays in the life of every person, and especially a child. Moms and dads, who take a very responsible approach to the problem of education, should know that it is sensory development that is one of the main components of the harmonious and full development of the baby's personality.

Sensorics - what is it?

Every loving parent is insanely happy when his precious child achieves even a small, but still success. Absolutely everything is important: the first clumsy step, the long-awaited first word, the clumsily painted drawing. Any achievement is the result of the great efforts of the baby. However, did you know that the abilities of babies largely depend on how developedhis sensory. Probably everyone knows what it is, but only a few really understand its meaning. The term "sensorics" comes from the Latin word "sensus", which translates as feeling or feeling. In simple words, we can say that this is a kind of sensor of human perception of the world around him. The basis for the formation of this perception is the synthesis of various sensations of the individual. We are talking about the knowledge of reality with the help of hearing, sight, smell, tactile contact, etc.

An individual's sensory system

It's not enough just to memorize the definition of "sensorics". What it is, it is better to ask a specialist who, in the smallest detail, will be able to give answers, if not to all, then to most of the questions that interest you. Any pro will start his monologue by explaining what an individual's sensory system is. Without abusing scientific terms, he will note that the human sensory system is formed by the following subsystems:

• visual - a subsystem due to which a person is able to distinguish objects of the surrounding world depending on their color, shape, size, direction of movement;
• vestibular - a subsystem responsible for a person's ability to maintain balance and navigate in space;
• auditory - a subsystem, in the absence of which people would never have learned to speak, and speech, as you know, is one of the main means of interpersonal communication;
• proprioceptive - a subsystem due to which a person is able tocontrol your body movements;
• tactile - a subsystem of skin sensitivity, which includes tactile, tactile, temperature, and vibration sensations.

What is Sensory Parenting?

A newborn can be compared to a white blank sheet of paper. From the first days of life, the baby needs parental care and help, because he is surrounded by a completely unknown, but such a beautiful and interesting world. Children absorb information like a sponge, but if they learn it intuitively, without the participation of adults, then the knowledge they gain often turns out to be superficial. What kind of person a child will become in the future depends largely on the upbringing he received, including sensory. It contributes to the ordering of children's ideas about the world around them, the development of their attention and observation, the formation of their communication and self-service skills, instilling a sense of respect and love for one's neighbor. Thus, it can be summarized that sensory education is nothing more than a process of consistently and gradually introducing a child to sensory culture.

The need for sensory education of toddlers

Since sensory development is an integral part of preschool education, its importance in shaping a child's intellectual abilities should never be underestimated. The role of sensory education is that it:

• promotes the development of the child's intelligence;
• helps the baby to systematize the knowledge that he receives from the external environment;
• prepares kids to experience the world as it is;
• has a positive effect on the formation of an aesthetic feeling;
• develops imagination, observation and mindfulness;
• prepares kids for future learning activities;
• favorably affects the enrichment of the vocabulary of boys and girls;
• develops various types of memory (visual, figurative, auditory, motor).

How to develop baby's sensory perception?

Knowledge that the baby received once, it is necessary to reinforce throughout the entire period preceding the school. This is due to the fact that the colors of the rainbow learned by the child, various geometric shapes, etc. are forgotten without periodic repetition. Sometimes it happens that in a five-year-old preschool child (senior group), sensory, or rather its development, remains at the level of a two-year-old baby. He is not able to distinguish the signs of objects, confuses colors, and cannot concentrate on completing the task assigned to him. In order not to encounter such a problem, you should regularly deal with the child, constantly voicing the names of the objects that surround him on the street and indoors, as well as paying attention to his clothes. Best of all, boys and girls master the information received in the form of a game. Therefore, it would be ideal to turn an ordinary daily walk into an exciting and educational journey, thought out in advance by a caring parent.

How to organize classes with kids?

Usually, children who regularly attend kindergartens have fairly well-developed sensory skills. The younger group of the kindergarten, middle or older - does not matter, because certified teachers are constantly working with the children. But what about parents who prefer to raise their children at home? How not to harm the child, but, on the contrary, to contribute to the development of his abilities? The rule remains the same - sensory classes should take place in a playful way. For example, visual perception is well taught by mosaics. However, remember that children under the age of three should be encouraged to collect various figures using only primary colors for this. Preschoolers, on the other hand, may well cope with a more difficult task - to assemble figures from a mosaic, in which there will be not only several basic colors, but also their shades.

Do not interfere, but, on the contrary, encourage the child's noisy games. This contributes to the development of his auditory perception. Do not interfere with the desire of your fidget to arrange concerts or theatrical performances. Who knows, maybe he'll have a big stage in the future?

Shop toys in different shapes, sizes and colors. They should also differ in texture. In this way, the tactile sensations of the fool will develop. You can make bags yourself and fill them with various cereals. Feeling them, the baby will develop fine motor skills.

A few rules regarding the organization of work with children

When teaching children something, you should always remember that the baby's psyche is not yet formed, and he perceives information differently from an adult. Therefore, sensory games, like any other activity, must be carefully considered. In order to avoid mistakes that will definitely appear later, parents need to remember a few simple rules:

1. During the game, you must remain calm, do not raise your voice, do not insult the child if something does not work out for him. Children tend to imitate adults, so the intemperance and aggressiveness of a parent will almost certainly become a character trait of his beloved child in the future.
2. An adult should find an approach to the child and establish emotional contact with him.
3. Each lesson should combine learning with play.
4. In order for the baby to remember the material well, it must be repeated many times.
5. The complexity of the material should correspond to the level of intellectual development of the preschooler.
6. The ideal duration of one lesson is 15-20 minutes.

Didactic game for kids "Decorate the Butterfly"

Didactic sensory games are different and all the kids like it. For example, one of them, called "Decorate a Butterfly", is very interesting. Its main goal is to teach future first-graders to group various objects depending on their color, as well as to consolidate the knowledge of preschoolers about such a geometric figure as a ball, about the concepts of “one” and “many”. Should be prepared in advancecardboard butterflies and circles of different sizes and colors. The course of the game is as follows:

1. Boys and girls are shown butterflies, saying that they have come to visit and ask for a favor. The fact is that the insects were given circles of different colors with which to decorate their wings. However, without outside help, they will not be able to cope with this task.
