The number of ceremonies that take place before the bride leaves the parental home is not limited to this. Two more follow. In the first, the bride's brother (if there is one, of course) ties and unties a ribbon around her waist three times. The second is the redemption of the bride's pillow by the groom. As soon as the action took place, the bride, finally, can be taken away from the threshold of the parental home with a clear conscience and a joyful heart.
