The above substance is used in almost all cartridges. Its main task is to reduce the level of friction at the points of contact of electricity.

Specialists note that the above substance should be used only in those parts of the equipment where it was originally applied by the manufacturer.

The second purpose of this lubricant is to provide the best level of conductivity.

It should be noted that some experts believe that conductive contact grease can increase the charge of the photoconductor and magnetic roller. But recommendations to do so when a problem such as dark printing occurs will not really give a positive result. Get rid of the darkimage and dark background in this way is almost impossible.

How to prepare a lubricant cartridge

When refilling the above element, make sure that all its electrical contacts are thoroughly cleaned of dirt and old toner. After all, these contaminations in most cases are the main reason for the not very good charge of the photoconductor and magnetic shaft.

Cartridge contacts are cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and an ordinary dry cloth, always lint-free.

The latter should not contain fibers. You can also use for cleaning and brushes (also lint-free). Special toner wipes are not recommended for this purpose. They are impregnated with mineral oil and should only be used to clean the outside of the cartridge.

Isopropyl alcohol, which contains more water, leaves the surface being cleaned moist for a long time. Therefore, its concentration of 91-99% is ideal for removing contaminants on the inside of the cartridge. Experts warn that the above lubricant should only be applied to an exceptionally dry surface. Failure to do so may result in cartridge performance problems.

How to properly apply lubricant

Conductive grease must be used very carefully. It is applied in a thin layer, the thickness of which is approximately equal to the thickness of the leaf fromnotebook.

You can use a wooden brush tip as improvised materials. With it, the above lubricant can be well dosed.

If the conductive grease somehow gets on other parts of the cartridge, it may not have a very favorable effect on its operation. Thus, the print quality will noticeably deteriorate. For example, if a small dot of lubricating powder accidentally falls on the surface of the PCR, a defect such as repeated black dots will occur.

Specialists note that the above lubricant should linger on the surface until the next refueling.

Experts note that in no case should you change the lubricant for the cartridge. That is, there is a certain substance for a specific model. The instructions for use contain detailed information about the conductive lubricant for this cartridge.

Only after thorough cleaning of the above element can the lubricant be applied. In the event of a cartridge failure, conductive grease is applied to the same surface as the original part.
