These are braid, lace, cords and heavy woven tassels that complement the curtains, decorate them, give completeness and sophistication to the decorative ensemble of curtains, lambrequin and tulle. Among the additional decor elements, a special place is occupied by magnets for curtains, which are, as a rule, two parts of various shapes made of plastic, wood or metal, mounted on a magnet and interconnected by an organza ribbon or cord. The special charm of this simple and very elegant decor lies in the fact that it is attached easily and quickly to a thin fabric, picking it up anywhere, creating elegant draperies, and just as easily and quickly removed if necessary.

In specialized stores, magnets for curtains are presented in a wide range. Round, square, in the form of flowers and abstract elements, they easily complement any window decoration design, from classic toavant-garde. But such an abundance does not prevent the creation of exclusive designs that can be made with your own hands from very simple and affordable materials, showing imagination and ingenuity. Curtain magnets, made by yourself, will first of all decorate a children's room, the design of which allows for unlimited experimentation with color, shape and material. For a children's room, it is best to make soft decorations in the form of funny toys or voluminous applications. Felt or fleece is used as the main material, and synthetic wool or synthetic winterizer is used for internal stuffing. You can also make tiebacks for curtains with magnets in the nursery from ready-made small soft toys by sticking them on a magnetic base. Where can I get it? Buy in the store the simplest and most inexpensive curtain ties in the form of flat buttons, or make it yourself by removing a magnet from a boring souvenir for the refrigerator and gluing it to any plastic or wood base. Finished parts are interconnected with a braid, ribbon or piece of fabric.

Depending on the design of the room, curtain magnets are made in the form of a flower head, using a ready-made artificial flower or made from a piece of silk fabric. The simplest model is done like this: circles of the same size are cut out of thin fabric. One is taken as the basis. Under it, it is better to put a dense and durable lining made of cardboard, felt or leather. The other circles are folded in half, then in half again, and again. Each item receivedattached with glue for a sharp corner in the center of the base circle. The parts fit snugly together, forming a vicious circle. Then a large bright button or bead is sewn into the middle of the flower, which masks the place where the details are attached to the base. A magnet is glued to the back of one flower, and a metal circle is glued to the other. Two floral decors are interconnected with an elegant satin or nylon ribbon.

How to fix curtains with magnets? There are many options. The most traditional is to intercept the edges of the curtains with them at the level of the window sill or a little higher, laying small folds. With the help of magnets, it is easy to turn a flat piece of fabric into an elegant lambrequin. To do this, magnets are placed at the same distance along the edge of the part, collecting fabric in the form of scallops. Magnets can be placed not only at the level of the window sill, but also much higher, or you can fit both edges of the curtain with them, placing the decor on top of each other in a checkerboard pattern. This decoration has the advantage that with its help the design of the curtains quickly changes, it is enough to transfer it from one place to another or add a few more to one magnet. When buying magnets for curtains in a store, check first whether they will stick to the fabric. As a rule, they are firmly fixed on a thin fabric, and they will not hold a heavy and dense curtain.
