September 4 is the Day of the Nuclear Specialist in our country. The Soviet Union paid special attention to the development of a nuclear bomb and the implementation of nuclear testing programs. Every year scientists made more and more discoveries in this area. The main attention was paid to scientific tests on the creation of nuclear charges with their transformation.
Victories of the nuclear program
The main achievement in the period of development of the nuclear industry is the creation of the Semipalatinsk test site (Altai Territory). In 1949, the first, and in 1990, the last nuclear tests in the USSR took place. Thanks to nuclear scientists, it became possible to implement them under adverse conditions. It is to these heroes that the Day of the Nuclear Specialist is dedicated.
The photo above is the site of the first bomb that exploded, a kind of "landmark" of the Semipalatinsk test site. All domestic specialists in the atomic and military industries worked on the creation of atomic weapons. After the first testnuclear scientists carried out another 715 such works.
About profession
Atomic physics is a branch of science that studies the structure and properties of the atom. After the discovery of radioactivity (1896), it was divided into several more directions. In the 1940s and 1950s, nuclear fission was studied, and as a result, nuclear power, weapons, and reactors were created. Fusion activities soon began.
On the solemn Day of the Nuclear Specialist, nuclear physicists across the country are congratulated. What is their job. Nuclear physicists are engaged in the maintenance of nuclear reactors, monitor their condition with the help of special instruments. Also, the knowledge of these specialists is applicable at nuclear power plants, research institutions, laboratories and specialized educational institutions.
Problems arising from nuclear testing
Scientific progress has raised a number of serious questions. The negative consequences of nuclear discoveries were experienced by residents of the regions of the Altai Territory, where the radioactive background increased sharply. There was a need to dispose of nuclear waste. The question of the effect of radiation on people also arose. All these problems had to be solved by someone. And so a new profession arose - a nuclear physicist. In 2006, the Russian government established a separate holiday for such workers, which is called Nuclear Specialist Day.
The post-war country had high hopes for the creationnuclear weapons. The world famous physicist Andrei Sakharov made a significant contribution to the development of Soviet science and the creation of the hydrogen bomb. In his scientific works, he spoke about the enormous destructive power of a nuclear bomb, capable of destroying all of humanity. Research has brought their author worldwide fame.
What do nuclear physicists do
Nuclear Specialist Day in Russia aims to remind of those who play an important role in the country's security. Nuclear tests have not been carried out for a long time, but the issues of protection against nuclear weapons are still relevant today. In the Russian Research Institute, each damaging factor of nuclear explosions is investigated, analyzing it into separate elements. With the help of special devices, they create electromagnetic pulses that are released during the explosion.
MiG-29 is a model for experiments, which is initially tested without load, and then increased to maximum values. Under such conditions, the missiles of a failed aircraft will begin to take off spontaneously. The task of nuclear scientists is to anticipate possible scenarios.
There is another well-known installation - this is a giant pipe. This is an enclosed space where a shock wave is created. All military armored vehicles of Russia passed through such a device. If the tanks could not withstand such a test, they were sent for revision. That is, any piece of equipment must be approved by scientists before it goes into operation.
Necessary professional qualities of a specialist
Be a nuclear physicist -This is a great responsibility. On the significant Day of the Nuclear Enforcer, congratulations and kind words are heard for people who are required to have the following virtues:
- Have good analytical skills.
- Be able to think logically and rationally.
- Be of a mathematical mind.
- Have a good memory.
- Be able to concentrate perfectly.
- Be responsible, independent and organized.
- Be emotionally stable and intuitive.
- Know how to keep a secret.
Besides, of course, they must love their job.
Nuclear potential of the Russian Federation
Nuclear Specialist Day is a celebration for those who have a huge responsibility for the security of the entire country. They daily contribute to the improvement of Russia's nuclear arsenal. In 1947, the first structural unit was created - a special department of the General Staff of the USSR Armed Forces, which became the prototype of the 12th Main Directorate of the Ministry of Defense. The explosion that occurred in Chernobyl at a nuclear power plant has made adjustments to the concept of state security. After this tragedy, a new organization was created - the Inspectorate for the Safety of Nuclear Weapons. There was a need for a professional emergency service.
At the moment, special state armament programs have been developed, which provide for a whole range of measures to ensure the potential of Rosatom. National security is ensured by the presencenuclear weapons in Russia. Scientists have the ability to create a means of destruction and know how to defend against it. The research institute began to develop laser weapons.
Celebrations for the day of the nuclear physicist
September 4 is the Day of the Nuclear Specialist, the one who stores ammunition and controls all nuclear tests. A number of festive events dedicated to this event are held in the country. The celebration is considered by all specialists in the field of nuclear development. Those who have distinguished themselves are awarded certificates, veterans are honored, and the dead are remembered.
The date of the event is dedicated to the creation of the Special Department under the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Soviet Union (1947), which was engaged in the implementation of all nuclear tests. Military nuclear scientists devoted their lives to science and the state. They are the backbone of the country, it is to such people that the Russians owe the presence in the state of the most advanced of all known weapons in the world.
September 4th Day of Russian Nuclear Specialist is a professional celebration of nuclear physicists. Congratulating the representatives of this profession, you do not need poems or long phrases. It is enough to say simply and from the heart that their work is very important and will not go unnoticed both in wartime and in peacetime.
