In Soviet times, a professional holiday was approved, which everyone knows about today - Miner's Day. Now that the Soviet Union no longer exists, it continues to be celebrated on the last Sunday in August in countries such as Kazakhstan, Ukraine and, of course, Russia.
History of the holiday
In 1935, on the August night from the 30th to the 31st, A. Stakhanov, a mine worker, set an unprecedented record. The miner was able to extract 102 tons of coal, while seven tons were considered the norm. This started the movement called "Stakhanovite".
Only 12 years later, in 1947, A. Zasyadko and D. Onik (ministers of the coal industry) filed a petition to approve a new holiday. For the first time, the celebration of Miner's Day took place in 1948, on August 29.
Since then Miner's Day has been celebrated every year. Coal industry workers are congratulated not only by relatives and friends, but also by officials. In many cities, Miner's Day is a major event. Concerts are held in the central squares, fireworks flare up in the sky at night. Everyone celebrates this day in different ways, but weI would like to offer you one option for a party that can be held at school. After all, children should also learn more about this difficult profession.
Start of the holiday
No holiday is complete without hosts. They can be dressed in classic costumes, or they can personify any thematic characters. In this article, we are talking about how to celebrate Miner's Day. The scenario that we offer you assumes the presence of two leaders Ember (U) and Fire (O).
At the beginning, a voice sounds off-screen, which reads some solemn poem, congratulating all the miners on their professional holiday. After that, the presenters take the stage.
W: Nice to meet you guys! Let's get acquainted - everyone calls me a cheerful Coal!
A: Hello! And me - Fire. Ugol and I are best friends. When we are together, we bring comfort and warmth to every home.
U: Of course, all of you know that today is a holiday - Miner's Day. Therefore, we want to dedicate this warm summer day to these courageous people!
A: I wonder, do you guys know what qualities a man should have in order to become a real professional, a mine worker?
Children should name these qualities. In order to continue celebrating Miner's Day, the script suggests that the presenters bring on stage those who give the correct answers. For example - strong, brave, he althy, honest, efficient, responsible, etc.
Dance competition
U: Now on the stage is our future, the hope and support of our country.
A: But most importantly, a real man, a miner, must be a reliable and loyal friend. This is what we will try to learn today while we celebrate Miner's Day. The program of our event is designed for two teams. So split up, choose captains and come up with names.
U: Our country needs he althy and strong youth. Are we all like this here? The main thing is to lead a he althy lifestyle, do not smoke or abuse alcohol. Our ancestors knew how to lead a he althy lifestyle, let's try to learn from them?
A: Why do you think ancient people had very good he alth? They were constantly on the move. After all, each of you knows the expression - "movement - life"?
W: Exactly! Therefore, we will now all actively move to the music in a modern rhythm. In addition to excellent he alth, this will give us a lot of positive emotions!
After that, any dance-based competition can be held.
Strongman Contest
No matter how many children came to celebrate Miner's Day, the holiday script should contain as many fun contests as possible, which at the same time will be aimed specifically at making children fall in love with a he althy lifestyle.
A: Well, since we decided today to turn to history and talk about a he althy lifestyle, we need to choose the moststrong and courageous guys.
The competition of strongmen can be held in different ways. Each team can choose one representative who will fight in arm wrestling, tug of war, etc. You can hold a knockout competition for all team members. You decide.
Miners relay races
W: All miners value team spirit! We need to learn to trust our friends and comrades. Therefore, now we will conduct a relay race with you.
You can have one relay race, or several. The options are only limited by your imagination. It can be done in several stages. On the first one, the participant, wearing a miner's mask, will make his way through the tunnel, on the second, he will jump to a chair in a bag and, sitting on it, will shout “Shift is over”, and then return in the same way and pass the baton to another participant. You can just run from start to finish and back in a gas mask. You can divide the teams into trios - two will have to run to the finish line and back with the third in their hands and pass the baton to the next trio.
Let's sing along
Of course, this is a professional holiday for serious men - Miner's Day. The scenario of the event should be drawn up so that the children are imbued with the spirit of courage and danger of this profession. However, no holiday is complete without songs.
Each team is given the text of the song that it will perform in karaoke. You can ask the audience to sing along to the participants. The theme of the songs should correspond to the spirit of the holiday. For example, let one team sing the folk song "Unharness, boys of horses", and the other - "Katyusha".
AfterThis can complete the holiday, or you can supplement it with other fun contests, a general feast or a disco.
