The problem is that relatively recently, the standard sizes of bed linen in Russia and Europe were completely different. In our country, they did not know what family sets were, and double sets were very different from those used abroad. After all, it often happens that a person sleeps on a huge bed, using two pillows of different sizes and a small one and a half blanket. In this case, it would be best to sew underwear to order, that is, according to individual parameters.

One and a half sets

Let's start the review with one-and-a-half bedding. Sizes of items in these sets:

• pillowcase - 70x70 cm (2 pcs.);
• sheet - 150x215 cm (1 piece);
• duvet cover - 155x215 cm (1 pc.).

There are deviations from the norm here, and usually in a big way. So, there are sets with a sheet 160 cm wide and 215 cm long. The duvet cover is also different in them, but, on the contrary, it is smaller - 140x205 cm. Pillowcases in such sets are made according to the European model - 50x70 cm.

It is worth noting that very often one and a half sets of bed linen are equipped with not two, but only one pillowcase. In this case, the label shouldbe marked Single or 1-bed. Eurosize

Now let's talk about what Euro bedding is. The dimensions of these sets differ from the usual two-sleepers and very significantly. They are suitable for large duvets with a width of 195 cm and a length of 215 cm. Accordingly, the duvet cover will have parameters of 200x220 cm. Euro sheets are also large - 220x240 cm. Pillowcases in such sets can be of two options - either traditional square, with dimensions of 70x70 cm, or narrow rectangular - 50x70 cm.

It is not uncommon to come across such kits that include as many as four pillow cases - two large and two small. In this case, narrow pillowcases can be decorated with decorative trim around the perimeter. If there is a mark “50x70+5” on the package of the set, then it is so - they have a wide edging along the edges.

There is another option for Euro-sets - maxi or King / Queen. The sizes of bed linen with such marks are increased even in comparison with rather big double sets of the western sample. Regular ones are a minimum of 100x120 cm, a maximum of 120x170 cm, and those in which an elastic band is inserted must be suitable for a bed measuring 60x120 cm, while the height of the sidewalls cannot be less than 10-15 cm.
