January
In the New Year holidays, the Russians have to walk for a whole week. The authorities decided that from the first to the eighth inclusive, people need to relax and visit the "New Year holidays" in order to gain strength before the new working year. Recall that December 30 and 31 of the current 2013 were declared working, which had not happened before. That is, the day off itself - a holiday - for Russians will begin on the first day of January. This week also falls on the Orthodox holiday - Christmas, celebrated on January 7.
February
2 February 3, 2014 falls on a Sunday, and therefore there is no need to wait for a long weekend. In addition to the most festive day, the Russians willrest the next day, the 24th.
March
In the first spring month of 2014, the Russians will have a day off on the 10th, which is provided in honor of the women's holiday - March 8th. Three days are declared holidays at once - from March 8 to March 10 inclusive.

April

In total, the third spring month will bring the Russians as many as seven days off.
June
Holidays this month begin on the 12th, which falls on Russia Day, and last for four days. That is, the Russians will have to go to work on June 16.
Red calendar days from June to December
After the June holidays, a lull begins, and the next holiday will be only on November 4th. Recall that this date is considered the Day of National Unity. The red days of the calendar in November are from the 1st to the 4th.

If we consider that in 2014 there are 365 days, then almost a third of this period the Russians willrest, namely 118 days. This number, of course, includes standard weekends - Saturdays and Sundays. 247 days in 2014 will be working days, and 6 will be shortened (pre-holiday). Their presence or absence is regulated by employers in any order. As a rule, we are talking about reducing the working day by one hour. So let's sum it up.
