Place the book in front of you and open it on the front endpaper. Prepare a thin wooden board in advance, which should have the same dimensions as the book. Place it under all pages on top of the back of the cover. After that, draw the contours of the hole on the first page with a pencil. It can be either rectangular or round or oval. Naturally, the rectangle is much easier to cut. Yes, be patient: the hole will have to be cut in each page separately. Use a special sharp cutter or utility knife for this purpose. Following the marked lines, fold the finished pages with a niche inside. So gradually process everything to the bottom cover. An old box with a secret is ready.
