A treatise written in ancient India and dedicated to love, sensuality and lust of a partner, was originally called "Kama", or better known to all "Kama Sutra". The author of this text Vastyayana in writing relied on numerous teachings in the field of Kamashastra.
History of Creation
The Kamasutra was first translated from Sanskrit into English in England in 1884. The translation of the legendary doctrine was made by the famous captain of the time, Richard Burton. After translation, the first books were published by a private English publishing house with a circulation of approximately 500 copies.
"Kama Sutra" describes sixty-four postures, calling them "arts". The author of the legendary teaching believed that there are only 8 ways to make love, and in each of these ways there are 8 special positions.
The section “On the connection of love” discusses the most famous and widely used in popular culture, for example, pose 11. In the “Kama Sutra”, only a fourth part of the book is devoted to love practices, the rest of the parts talk about how well to beman, and offers a small author's reasoning on the relationship between a man and a woman.
The author of the famous treatise on love believed that there is nothing shameful in sexual relations between a man and a woman, but it is sinful to do this thoughtlessly and thoughtlessly.
Kama Sutra today
Today, due to its great popularity, the treatise is often confused with such teachings about love as "Kokoshastra" or "Ananga Ranga".
Vastyayan's "Kama Sutra" was not illustrated, moreover, most of the poses in it were described relatively briefly or had no description at all. Therefore, as illustrations, it was customary to use erotic miniatures by Mongolian artists, written in the sixteenth-nineteenth centuries.
Among the described positions there are "castle", "slip", "monkey", "dolphin", "frog", "juniper", "pond", etc. Many of them bear the names of animals, which should not only imitate, but also imitate the sounds inherent in the latter.
Kama Sutra: Pose 11
The advantage of this position is that during intercourse, the male member is rubbing against the side wall of the female vagina. This position is very similar to position number 1. To perform, the woman must lie on her back, spread her legs wide and bend them at the knees. The man should lie at a slight angle to the partner so that her divorced right leg lies on his left shoulder. The second bent leg of the woman should be firmly pressed against the thigh of the man.
Kama Sutra Part 2:poses 11-20
Pose number 12 is very similar to the previous eleven. It is recommended to perform it on a hard spring bed. The partner should lie on her back, spread her legs as wide as possible. After the partner inserts the penis into the woman's vagina, she should throw her left leg over the man, hugging his buttocks. The right leg in this position should remain extended or slightly bent at the knee and located between the legs of the man, while he should pinch it with his leg as much as possible.
In position number 13, the girl lies with her legs spread wide with emphasis on her feet, on her back, and the man smoothly lowers herself on top of her and inserts her penis. After that, he turns to his left side, so that his body is at the maximum angle to the partner, that is, perpendicular, raising his right leg to his chest, and holding his left leg between his legs.
Assuming the “crab” position or position number 14, the man performs frictional movements while sitting on the woman, who lies on her back with her legs crossed. A rather difficult position, since the man in this case must have a fairly long penis.
Position number 15 - the girl kneels on the cut of the bed, leaning on her elbows. At the same time, her pelvis should be raised high above the bed, so that the man can stand between her legs. Depending on the height of the partner, this pose can be performed either standing with your feet on the floor or kneeling on the bed. The peculiarity of this posture lies in the compression, as it is written in the Kamasutra book itself. Pose 11 feels very close to pose number 15. For a more vivid sensation, a woman can close her legs behind a man, who, in turn, squeezing her buttocks, will make forward movements of the pelvis.
Position number 16 is quite simple and mundane - a man should lie on the girl's back with his chest. The advantage of this position can be considered the partner's free hands, with which he can stimulate the woman's breasts and clitoris during intercourse.
Fascinating Positions
Pose number 18 - "dragon". The woman lies on the edge of a thick bed or a wooden ottoman, leaning with her straight legs on the floor, after spreading them in different directions. The man lays down on the woman, resting his feet on the floor. At the same time, he maintains balance, holding her breasts with his hands, enters the penis.
"Flight of the butterfly" is position number 19. The girl lies on the edge of the bed, on her back, with straight legs raised up. The man, spreading his legs, enters his partner, standing on the floor. Interestingly, position 20 is a variation of the "butterfly flight", the only difference is the partner's legs around during the forward movement of the pelvis.
One of the most amazing positions in the book "Kama Sutra" is position number 11. It is known that in the legendary book 8 unique positions are taken as a basis, while all of them in one way or another originate precisely from position number 11.
Position similarity, relationship and brief description
It is interesting that some of the positions described in the book "Kama Sutra" are similar (poses 11 and 41). So, “pleasure while standing” is a pose, better known as number 41. The woman lies down on a soft bed with a lush feather bed, spreads her legs. Raises the right leg at the level of the partner's chest, bending it at the knee. The left leg rests with the foot on the bed. The man stands facing the woman, bending his knees. With his right hand he holds the woman, with his left he hugs her at the waist. The partner should at the same time hug the partner with one hand around the neck.
In pose 41, as in pose 11, movements are made in an almost horizontal position. In this case, the man makes forward movements at a certain angle. At the same time, the girl can help her lover by moving her pelvis towards him.
Positions out of bounds
Many young couples who are just starting to comprehend the art of love note that the description of positions in the named work is often confusing and incomprehensible. Therefore, sexologists recommend getting acquainted with the third, forty-second, twelfth, fifty-fourth, sixty-second poses from the pictures, which can also be found in the Kamasutra book. Pose number 11 has a special place in this list, so it is not uncommon to find detailed or step-by-step photos of all the actions during it.
In addition to the many positions known for their sophistication, the chapter on G-spot stimulation occupies a special place in the book. After all, one of the most important criteria for sex is not only getting an orgasm, but also the satisfaction of a partner.
In achieving female orgasm, a special role is played bystimulation of the clitoris, erogenous zones and the G-spot. That is why both beginners and more experienced lovers Vastyayan recommended position No. 11 for use.
Kama Sutra Part 2 contains 10 best-chosen positions, during which a man has one or both hands free, so he can give additional pleasure to his partner during coitus.
Interesting facts
India's most famous love treatise is over two thousand years old. And the author, Vastyayana, named his book after the God of pleasure, pleasure and love.
"Kama Sutra" is, first of all, a book about relationships, feelings and harmony between lovers. It should be remembered that erotic recommendations take up only a fifth of the treatise.
By the way, the book went into mass print only after the sixties of the twentieth century. And in 1996, a feature film of the same name was shot - "Kama Sutra".
Pose 11, by the way, was not originally included in the treatise, but was described only in the author's drafts.
Of course, in the USSR the book was banned, as it was believed that it contributes to the decomposition of communist ideas. But in 1996, the book was translated into the Udmurt language, which helped to increase the popularity of the language in the region.
Reviews
Often, young inexperienced couples resort to using a well-known one-volume book about love, expecting unusual sensations. Looking at pictures of poses, young lovers are indescribably delighted, but only until they decide to try.
Out of sixty-four positions, only fifteen are real, the rest require incredible strength, flexibility, endurance from a girl, as well as strong arms, high growth and a rather long penis from a man.
Pose No. 11 in the frontal version is discussed especially vigorously among those who bought the book. "Kama Sutra" in the description of this position is very ambiguous. Interestingly, depending on the publisher and translation, the position of the man's hands and the girl's hips can change and more resemble position number 4 or even 32.
