How do new breeds emerge?

In ancient times, dogs were used for hunting and housing protection. Therefore, in those distant times, people carried out a kind of selection according to these criteria. As a result, breeders managed to obtain a group of animals that are similar in phenotype and have common ancestors.

Like any other new breed of dog, ODIS has its own standard. These tiny animals grow up to 25 centimeters at the withers. Moreover, their weight is no more than three kilograms. The miniature body of the dogs is covered with thick, long, hypoallergenic hair in white, gray or light fawn.

Representatives of this breed are distinguished by a cheerful energetic temperament. They have a well-developed immune system that is resistant to infectious diseases. For all the time of their existence, veterinarians have not registered a single case of severe pathologies or congenital deformities.

Russian salon dog

These decorative dogs appeared about fifteen years ago. They were brought out by the domestic livestock specialist Yu. A. Lakatosh by crossing the Yorkshire terrier, pug and Belgian griffin.
