Preparatory stage

Since this article is for those who do not have a special kit to create this model, some details will only be approximate, they can be replaced with longer or shorter ones. Dimensions that will be useful in the manufacture of a crossbow:

  • three pieces 2 x 16 or one piece 2 x 16 and one piece 4 x 16;
  • one piece 4 x 6;
  • two pieces 2 x 6;
  • one piece 4 x 4;
  • two tall pieces 2 x 4;
  • one piece 2 x 1;
  • four sliding (that is, without fasteners or bulges on top) parts 2 x 4 or eightsquares 2 x 2;
  • a few sliding parts that, when connected, should give two strips 16 x 1 long;
  • a few flat pieces that together should form two 16 x 1 pieces;
  • elastic band for banknotes.

To make projectiles, you can simply connect three 2 x 4 parts, or you can use shorter parts.

Crossbow assembly

The first stage. In the middle of the 2 x 16 piece, on top, position the 4 x 16 piece (two 2 x 16 pieces) so that they form a “T” with the hat thinner than the base.

Second stage. On one of the 4 x 6 pieces, position the 4 x 4 piece so that it is on the edge, but does not go beyond. Under the resulting part, fasten with a 2 x 1 piece on the opposite edge in a similar position in the middle. Turn over the base assembled in the previous step and attach the resulting part to the fastening.

Third stage. On each of the tall 2 x 4 pieces, attach 2 x 6 rectangles, these will be the side mounts for the elastic. Fasten each of the resulting parts from above opposite each other on a thin base.

The fourth stage. On the sides of the wider base, make tracks one division wide. On the unfilled middle, fasten the sliding pieces 2 x 4 (or any available format), also cover the sides with the sliding pieces.

The fifth stage. Fasten the elastic. Bring it under the protruding part 2 x 1, then bring it forward and circle the side fasteners and place it on the base.

If desired, thisthe crossbow can be modified, for example, to add a handle to it.

Now you know how to make a crossbow out of Lego.
