High body temperature (hyperthermia) in young children begins after 38.5 on the thermometer. Before this value, pediatricians strongly recommend not to take any medications. When the mercury column of the thermometer rapidly and persistently rises above this mark, it's time to start fighting the temperature. The main recommended drug for hyperthermia for children is Paracetamol. But in extreme cases, when it is inactive for unknown reasons, lytic formula for children will be effective.
What is a lytic mixture
The temperature lytic mixture is a kind of cocktail, which includes analgesics, antispasmodics and antihistamines, in a ratio of 1:1:1.
The drug "Analgin" (in a lytic cocktail helps to lower the temperature) is the main drug in the group of non-narcotic analgesics. The main pharmacological effects are analgesic, antipyretic andanti-inflammatory.
"Papaverine" is an antispasmodic drug that has an antihypertensive effect, helps to lower the tone and relax smooth muscles and blood vessels.
"Diphenhydramine" is a "classic" antihistamine drug with a pronounced sedative (hypnotic, inhibitory, sedative) effect.
Lytic mixture for children works flawlessly and instantly, after 10-15 minutes. after intramuscular injection, the temperature begins to fall. Since the drug "Analgin" when administered intramuscularly is painful, along with the generally accepted rules for administering injections, there are several special ones for the lytic mixture:
- all ampoules warm up to body temperature;
- before opening, each ampoule is wiped with a 70% alcohol solution;
- all drugs are drawn into one disposable syringe;
- before and after the injection, the injection site is thoroughly wiped with an alcohol solution;
- injection is done deep intramuscularly, the drug is injected slowly.
Use lytic formula for children only in case of a negative allergic reaction to each drug that is part of it. You can check the reaction by dropping a few drops of the prepared solution into the child's eye (slightly protrude the lower eyelid of the eye). The absence of redness of the conjunctival sac, acute itching and pain for 10-15 minutes indicates the possibility of using the remedy.
Lytic formula for children is prepared in a proportion of 0.1 ml of eachthe following drugs for a full year of life. For children under the age of one, it is prepared according to a different scenario:
- solution "Analgin" (50%) - 0.1 ml per 10 kg of weight;
- solution "Papaverine" (2%) - 0.1 ml;
- Means "Dimedrol" (2%) - 0.4 ml.
Lytic Blend Dosage: 1 x every 6 hours
It is very important for parents to understand that elevated body temperature is not a disease, but only a syndrome of some disease (most often inflammatory or infectious). And putting out a fire outside, when the hearth is inside, is not only a completely useless task, but also extremely dangerous.
