This is usually a rectangular (square) device with a sealing edging. The mechanism works absolutely silently. And the edging, installed around the entire perimeter, guarantees the absence of a draft. The principle of operation of the door for cats is based on the action of a magnetic latch. Among the small additions is a special lock that allows you to control the movement of your pet if you wish.

In this case, it is more convenient to make the hinges at the top so that the door drops all the time. By the way, small locks (or even hooks) can be attached to such a door in order to be able to close the hole (for example, at night). And in order to minimize drafts, a sealant is applied around the perimeter of the window. If you want the door to close automatically and not “walk”, just install a magnet. A round manhole made of glass (hardboard) looks interesting and rather unusual. The door of the same shape rotates when the cat passes through the window. All manholes are installed at a height of 12-14 cm from the floor. Sizes are selected according to the cat itself (there are quite large breeds).
