2. Camphor oil. It has a disinfecting effect and accelerates blood flow. In this regard, during pregnancy, the usepreparations containing camphor oil should be administered with great care.
3. Levomenthol. It has a weak analgesic effect. Not recommended for use during the first months of pregnancy.
4. Chlorobutanol hemihydrate. Has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect.

Vaseline oil is also included in the composition of "Kameton" as an auxiliary substance. Its main goal is to connect the main components.

The drug goes on sale in glass or metal bottles, equipped with a sprayer. This simplifies the use of the product and allows you not to worry about a possible overdose. Depending on the manufacturer, the bottle can contain 20, 25, 30 or 45 ml of the product.

Kameton Forte

In some cases, in pharmacies, instead of "Kameton" they offer to buy "Kameton Forte". It is important to know that these are not exactly identical drugs! In "Kameton Forte" the concentration of active substances is much higher. In addition, it contains an additional component - hexytidine.

The product has enveloping and hemostatic properties, has a strong antimicrobial and antifungal effect against all known strains of bacteria and fungi.

Indications for use

The instructions for "Kameton" indicate that the drug is prescribed during various respiratory diseases. Due to the fact that the tool has a wide spectrum of action, it can be prescribed:

• for laryngotracheitis;
• tonsillitis;
• rhinitis;
• laryngitis;
• pharyngitis;
• angina;
• candidal lesions of the throat and mouth;
• flu.

The use of "Kameton" during pregnancy is also possible in the presence of perspiration, tingling during swallowing, sore throat during acute respiratory diseases.

Contraindications for use

During pregnancy, "Kameton" is contraindicated for use in the presence of hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Women with hypertonicity will also have to look for a replacement remedy, since vaseline oil can activate the tone of the uterus, which can lead to premature onset of labor or miscarriage. In particular, this applies to the use of "Kameton" during pregnancy in the 1st trimester and in the last months.

The effect of the drug on the unformed fetus has not yet been fully studied. In the first trimester of pregnancy, "Kameton" is not used for treatment for this reason.
