Local Self-Government Day is celebrated by all educational institutions without exception. Especially this event is given attention in schools. Patriotic events, meetings with deputies and other government officials, communication with veterans are held. This is necessary so that the younger generation is not indifferent to their country, children are taught to correctly understand and comprehend the meaning of making independent decisions.

It is necessary to convey to the younger generation that patriotism is an important feature of every person. This is love for one's homeland, readiness to defend the country at any moment, defending its interests. All these qualities, combined in one concept, bring up this holiday among the younger generation.

A mandatory component of any celebration in schools is a class hour. Teachers are responsible for organizing this event. At the classroom hour, the teacher tells the story of the holiday, why it is needed and important for society. Often, class teachers invite people who have interesting and informative information on this issue to such events. In our case, these may be representatives of local governments or veterans.

Relay races and competitions are mandatory, where, as a result of he althy rivalry, the best player who subsequently receives a reward is determined.
