Inhabitants of great Japan consider dogs of seven different breeds to be their national treasure. One of them is the world-famous Akita Inu. This strong, powerful and very beautiful breed was bred to hunt deer, bear and wild boar. Subsequently, dogs of the Akita breed became excellent guards. These are good-natured, but self-respecting, brave and cautious, obedient and infinitely freedom-loving animals.

Despite such a harsh mission, Akita dogs are very domestic animals that can become real family members. They simply adore all household members. The meaning of their life is security. At the same time, the Akita is a very reserved dog. This is a true friend who will always be there.

But still, we must not forget that Akita dogs are hunters by nature. They are endowed with excellent eyesight and an amazing sense of smell even for a dog. Moreover, this hero can move completely silently, like a cat. Animals are truly blissful in winter, when they have the opportunity to run in the snow.

For the Japanese, Akita dogs are sacred animals. Here we are sure that they can bethe most faithful and devoted friends, brave and reliable defenders of the house, a symbol of the he alth of all family members.

There is no doubt that this is a Japanese dog breed. The Akita has been living in Japan for over 4,000 years. Archaeologists have discovered clay figurines depicting a dog, which date back to 2000 BC. e.

The status of the symbol of the nation Akita received in 1934, when near the Shibuya station in the capital of Japan - the city of Tokyo - an original monument was erected to the favorite of the professor of the University of Tokyo Eisaburo Ueno - the world-famous dog Hachiko. A devoted and faithful friend of the famous professor accompanied him to the station every morning and met him in the evening. Once the irreparable happened, and the professor died right at the university. The dog did not wait for the owner, although he was at the station until midnight. The dog returned to the house, and the next morning he again went to the station. This went on for nine long years, until the four-legged friend died. Admirers of his immeasurable fidelity raised funds and a monument to Hachiko was erected on them. Now he is always at Shibuya Station and still peers into the distance, trying to see his master.

Dogs of this breed, which are champions and winners of various events, are depicted on commemorative postage stamps in Japan. There is even a law that guarantees all champions who have lost their owner, a lifetime maintenance from the state. For a long time these animals were not allowed to be taken out of the country. On rare occasions, the royal familycould give a puppy to prominent politicians in other countries. In the post-war period, Akita became the subject of smuggling. Animals began to be illegally exported abroad, not observing the rules of transportation. As a result, many of them died on the way. The government was forced to lift the export ban.

Akita - a breed of dogs, the price of which ranges from twenty to ninety thousand rubles. Such a spread depends on the pedigree of the animal, the merits of its ancestors, the available awards, the purity of the breed, etc.
