The world, constantly evolving, brings new technologies, means of communication, many new "toys" to our lives, both for children and adults. But no one will deny that with technological progress, over time, which flies faster and faster, many good things are gradually and irrevocably leaving our lives.

Do you often write letters on paper with ordinary ink, like at school, diligently drawing letters, fearing to make a mistake? Agree that much more often we send letters by e-mail, send messages on the phone, type words on social networks - even a letter to a loved one.

This story happened to one of my, unfamiliar at the time, boyfriend three years ago. Misha Korablev worked as a specialist in the corporate lending department in a private bank in a small town in the west of the country. For a long time he really liked the specialist of the second category Yulia from the neighboring department. This fair-haired and blue-eyed girl has long attracted the attention of the hero. He first saw her at a tourist rallywhen she first got a job in a bank. Then they had to jump together in bags in a race with the specialists of a competitor bank, and then - together rejoice at the victory.

But Misha has always been very shy since childhood. He could not take and approach Yulia, as many friends advised him. I couldn't, constantly convincing myself that there was no suitable opportunity, there was no time at work, or there simply weren't the right words to say to her.

One evening, while re-reading a familiar novel, Misha stumbled upon a scene where his favorite hero Ivan Borisovich was writing a letter to his beloved woman, and decided that he would definitely need to write a "letter to his beloved". No, Misha was not sure that this was love, but he really liked the idea of the letter. Putting aside the book with yellowed sheets, our hero took the A4 sheet found on the shelf and began to write, immediately catching himself thinking that over the past five years he had not written not only a letter to his girlfriend, but even to a relative or distant friend.

Started writing words. The words were simple - without metaphors and pathos. He wrote it as it is - he described what he felt when he first saw her, told about himself in a letter, joked about mutual acquaintances and about the work of the bank, there were some jokes about the bosses and their behavior at the last corporate party.

When the letter was ready, Misha neatly packed it in an envelope and the next day asked a friend from Yulia's department to discreetly put it in the papers on her desk.

So it was done. Julia found a letter for dinner whenmanaged to "unearth" all the documents that lay at the top of the coveted envelope with a painted bullfinch. I read it. You could see how a smile gradually blossomed on her face. Not because Misha's sympathy was mutual (after the tourist rally, Yulia paid little attention to the black-browed guy from the neighboring department, and she had a young man at that time), but because it was her first letter from a fan, except for elementary school.

The girl immediately approached Misha, thanked him for the letter, said that she appreciated the jokes. They met again. We made friends. Often went out to dinner together.

Many things have happened since that day in the life of the bank, in the life of these young people. It is possible (and even likely!) that things would have been very different if not for this little letter that day. And a lot is still going to happen and change. After all, time does not stand still. But it is very important that this time does not take away important and necessary things from us, such as books, letters, live meetings, conversations, walks. After all, someday it is just some simple thing, like this "letter to your beloved", for example, that can change your life.
