To decorate the headband, you need to purchase:

• cuts of light and dark green satin ribbon (width 6 mm, length 2 m);
• bezel (plastic or metal) with teeth (width 2-3 cm);
• pink ribbon (width 2.5 cm - 8 m);
• green satin ribbon ((width 2.5cm - 2m);
• wood burning device;
• heat gun.

We braid the headband with a pigtail

1. At the ends of two satin green ribbons we form loops with glue. The width of the loop should be such that another tape can easily enter it and you can weave a pigtail. Insert one ribbon into a loopsecond.
2. Next, at the very fastening of these two blanks, we bend the tape and insert it into a free loop, slightly pulling the tip.
3. Thus, we continue the checkerboard weaving, alternating dark and light ribbons.
4. When the braid is long enough, insert the opposite tape into the last loop without forming a new loop.

Creating roses

1. To create roses, cut off from a pink ribbon, the width of which is 2.5 cm, 133 pieces (length 6 cm). One rosette - 7 petals.
2. In order to get petals from pieces of tape, we bend the side upper corners of the rectangles down, placing them horizontally. The result will be triangles, they should be located on the front side, and the middle - on the wrong side.
3. Further, in the resulting blanks, we bend the sharp corners vertically, making sure that the ends are joined to the place where the corners of the rectangle are attached. Thus, we prepare all the pieces of pink satin ribbon.
4. The first petal is twisted into a tube and glued together, forming the middle of the bud.
5. On the resulting middle tube, glue the remaining six petals in turn, forming a rose.
6. We form the required number of buds.
7. Next, we prepare 19 pieces of green ribbon 2.5 cm wide. For sepals, their length is 10 cm. We bend each segment in half and pass the point of the heated burner diagonally. We divide each folded tape into two right-angled triangles.
8. Forsepal we will use the part of the tape where the fold was. We will open the resulting corner, its shape should be in the form of a paper bag for sweets.
9. Make 19 green blanks, the number of buds will be the same.
10. Place the roses in the opened green petals, having previously dripped glue on them.
11. Stick a pigtail on the headband.
12. After the glue has dried and the pigtail is firmly attached to the rim, we glue our roses on the pigtail, arranging the details in a herringbone pattern.
13. Place all the details on the rim. If you want the bouquet to be denser, increase the number of roses to 21 pieces.

Option for making a headband with delicate foamiran roses

Foamiran is an artificial material, it is also called plastic suede. This material is used for various decorations. You can buy it in specialized stores for needlework and in online stores. So, let's look at how to make such a headband with roses with your own hands.

What do you need?

Materials and tools needed to make a headband with foamiran roses,:

• foamiran green;
• lighter;
• foamiran dark and light;
• wet wipes;
• foil;
• glue gun;
• sharp scissors;
• 40 cm lace and thick fabric;
• 2-3cm wide headband

Making a bezel

Before you start making a headband with roses from foamiran, consider some tips:

1. Initially, you need to draw flower patterns. The basis for the roses will be a narrowed oval (size 14 by 5.5 cm). Petals of two sizes will be needed. It will turn out three petals together in a circle with a diameter of 8 cm - 9 pieces, with a diameter of 6.5 cm - 10 pieces. You also need 8 petals in the form of a drop (3 x 3 cm).
2. Next, you need to make 8 leaves in the shape of a boat 4.5 by 2.5 cm and sepals of two sizes - 5 and 7 cm.

Now let's move on to making flowers.

1. Cut out two identical ovals from dense fabric. On one of them we make notches to put it on the rim. Glue the second oval to the bottom of the rim, thereby covering the bottom.
2. Next, cut out the foamiran blanks according to the templates. One large flower needs three petals, and for small roses we will take two. In buds, two blanks are needed.
3. Cut according to the pattern of the sepals.
4. Toning the petals with pastels. The sepals are tinted with pastel blue or any other color.
5. To give the sepals and petals a natural shape, twist and stretch each of them, then make a groove on all the petals with your thumbs.
6. Twist foil balls, about the size of a pea, to make centers for roses
7. Now we collect large roses first, then small ones. We glue the petals sequentially with a glue gun.
8. When both buds and roses are collected, stick them onbezel, on a fabric base, which we previously prepared. Glue lace along the edge of the base. We arrange roses the way we like, including fantasy.
