In the summer of 2012, the look of the rails was updated by Die Cast. This applies not only to the appearance, but also to the method of attachment. It is not possible to directly connect the old Die Cast to the new one. The engines in the new version have not changed, except for the color of the coupling (it has become gray).

The StackTrack track has many turns, it is more curved, there are few straight sections in it, so the Chuggington railway in a horizontal assembled form is quite cumbersome.
