What is puppy activation? This is a breed confirmation procedure. It is carried out in dogs at an early age. Based on the registration, the owner is given a special document with which you can take part in exhibitions. This procedure has some features that breeders and owners of purebred dogs should be aware of.

What does activating puppies mean?

According to the rules, the procedure is carried out for dogs upon reaching one and a half months of age. To participate in the program, you need to contact the representative club of the Russian Cynological House, dedicated to the breed of interest you are interested in, and make an appointment with the cynologist.

What does the treatment include

How does the puppies check in? Representatives of the club conduct an inspection, during which they pay attention to the following parameters of the animal:

• general condition of the dog;
• bite;

• appearance of the puppy's mother;
• dog conditions;
• assessment of "breed condition";
• marriage mark;
• occlusion assessment;

Based on the general litter card, the breeder is given a metric. It is issued for each puppy individually. The metric is an analogue of a person's birth certificate and is subject to further exchange.

Documentation after registration of a litter of puppies

The breeder who called the dog handlers to check the litter must receive a metric for each born puppy. It is issued on the basis of an act. It specifies the following characteristics:

• breed;
• nickname;
• date of birth;
• number and letters that make up the puppy's brand;
• color of this dog;
• last name, first name, patronymic of the breeder.

The following columns remain empty:

• surname, name, patronymic of the owner;
• address of residence.

The puppy's metric becomes obsolete over time and is replaced by a pedigree. The main difference of the new document will be the presence of descriptions of the dog's grandparents.

Even exemplary dogs can have puppies with flaws. A baby may have excellent he alth, but have minor external flaws. Marriage includes the following characteristics:
