The Husky breed was bred naturally, for thousands of years, by the inhabitants of the Far North - the Chukchi. In terms of physiological characteristics, it is a relative of the well-known Siberian Laika (but not its variety). Huskies were used by the Chukchi mainly as sled dogs.
